Your destiny can be rewritten tonight

laylatul qadr is worth 1000 months

السلام عليكم friend,

Ramadan is going by too fast.

3 of the last 10 nights are gone.

But you still have the most important part.

One of the last 10 nights is Laylatul Qadr.

The Night of Decree.

The night the Quran was revealed.

The night worth more than a thousand months (83 years) of worship.

On one of these nights your destiny can be rewritten.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

"On Laylatul Qadr, the angels descend and Allah decrees all that will happen in the coming year - life, death, provision, and all affairs."

(Tafsir Ibn Kathir)

This means:

  • What you'll experience this year

  • What you'll gain

  • What you'll lose

  • Who will enter your life

  • Who will leave

  • What doors will open

  • What doors will close

All of it is DECREED on this night.

But here's what most people miss:

Your dua on Laylatul Qadr can CHANGE what's decreed.

The scholars say:

Allah writes your destiny for the year.

But He ALSO listens to your dua on this night.

And if you ask sincerely, desperately, with full conviction. He can rewrite it.

What was written as hardship? He can change it to ease.

What was written as loss? He can change it to gain.

What was written as closed doors? He can change it to open ones.

This is the power of Laylatul Qadr.

YOUR SINS CAN BE ERASED:

The Prophet ﷺ said:

"Whoever stands in prayer on Laylatul Qadr with faith and seeking reward, all their previous sins will be forgiven."

(Bukhari & Muslim)

Not just forgiven.

Erased.

Like they never existed.

Like your record is wiped clean.

Like you're starting fresh.

The regret you've carried for years?

The sin you can't forgive yourself for?

The mistake that haunts you?

It can all be erased.

YOUR DUAS ARE ACCEPTED:

Aisha (RA) asked the Prophet ﷺ:

"If I know which night is Laylatul Qadr, what should I say?"

He told her:

"Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun tuhibbul 'afwa fa'fu 'anni."

(O Allah, You are the Pardoner, You love to pardon, so pardon me.)

But you don't have to limit yourself to this dua.

Ask for EVERYTHING.

The healing you've been waiting for.

The breakthrough you've been praying for.

The freedom from anxiety, trauma, shame.

The relationship with Allah you've been longing for.

Ask for it on these last nights of Ramadan.

Because on Laylatul Qadr, duas are not just heard.

They are STAMPED.

WHAT TO DO ON THESE NIGHTS (PRACTICAL STEPS):

Here's how to make the most of these last 10 nights:

1. PRIORITISE ALL OF THE LAST 10 NIGHTS

Laylatul Qadr is most likely on the odd nights: 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, 29th.

But it can also fall on the even nights( I can write a whole blog on this, but not for now).

What most people do is stay up only on odd nights and sleep through even nights.

Some of them, stay up only on 25th and 27th and sleep all other nights.

As if Allah has personally told them which night is laylatul qadr.

If you do any of these, it means you miss 50% chance of catching laylatul qadr.

So don’t be “most people” and prioritise all of the last 10 nights.

Don't sleep through these nights.

And if you can’t stay up all night, that’s ok.

Take a little rest in the second part of the night.

Do what you can. Allah sees everything.

Quality > Quantity always.

2. PRAY ISHA AND TARAWEEH IN CONGREGATION.

Pray with the imam full set, until he finishes.

The prophet said that whoever prays behind the imam in qiyam, until the imam finishes, then that person has caught the entire night of prayer.

3. PRAY TAHAJJUD (NIGHT PRAYER)

Even if it's just 2 rak'ahs.

Wake up in the last third of the night.

This is when Allah descends to the lowest heaven and asks:

"Is there anyone asking Me so I can give to them?"

4. MAKE SINCERE DUA

Don't just recite the prescribed dua.

TALK to Allah.

Tell Him what you're carrying.

What you need.

What you're afraid of.

What you're hoping for.

Ask for:

  • Healing from trauma, anxiety, depression

  • Freedom from sin and shame

  • Closeness to Him

  • Guidance for your family

  • Provision, protection, peace

  • Whatever your heart needs

  • And most importantly your akhirah

5. RECITE QURAN

The Quran was revealed on this night.

Recite it everynight.

Even if it's just a few pages.

Read the tafsir of what you just read.

Ponder over what your Lord is telling you.

6. DO DHIKR

SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar

Hasbunallahu wa ni'mal wakeel

La ilaha illallah

Repeat until your heart softens.

Until you feel Him.

7. GIVE SADAQAH

Even £1.

Charity on Laylatul Qadr is multiplied.

Give to someone in need or set an automation.

It could be the act that tips the scale in your favor.

8. ASK FOR FORGIVENESS

For yourself.

For your parents.

For the people who hurt you (even if you're still healing from what they did).

Forgiveness doesn't mean reconciliation.

It means releasing the weight to Allah so your heart has space for Him.

9. RECITE SURAH IKHLAS

If you recite surah ikhlas 3 times, it is as if you have recited the whole Quran on that night.

DON'T WASTE THESE NIGHTS:

You have 7 nights left.

One of them could be Laylatul Qadr.

Few nights from now, you'll either be:

  • Grateful you stayed up or

  • Wishing you had

The choice is yours.

What broke you last year?

What's been weighing on you?

What have you been too afraid to ask for?

Bring it ALL to Allah.

Because on laylatul qadr, He's not just listening.

He's rewriting destinies.

And yours could be one of them.

Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun tuhibbul 'afwa fa'fu 'anni.

(O Allah, You are the Pardoner, You love to pardon, so pardon me.)

May Allah accept from all of us.

Allahumma balighna laylatul qadr.

May He grant us Laylatul Qadr.

May He rewrite our stories in ways we can't even imagine.

With love and duas
